Overview
This article explains which hardware token devices are compatible with Arculix Core and Device Trust. All FIDO2-compliant security keys should be compatible with Arculix Core and Device Trust for authenticating on a web browser or on Windows and macOS workstations.
Recommended Keys
We recommend the following keys for their support for biometrics and verified compatibility with Device Trust:
Both models are priced around $65-$85, though volume pricing may be available for large orders. A slightly cheaper alternative is a non-biometric FIDO2 security key such as the YubiKey 5 NFC (around $45), which relies on a PIN instead of biometrics to authenticate users.
Supported Authenticator Types
In summary, FIDO/WebAuthn on the web supports any FIDO2-compatible authenticator (USB security keys such as YubiKey, Kensington, or Feitian) and FIDO2-compatible platform authenticators (biometric hardware such as Apple Touch ID or Windows Hello).
