(Cloud deployment) MFA and Password Throttling not clearing as expected

Follow
    Applies to:
  • SecureAuth Identity Platform
  • Legacy SecureAuth IdP
Deployment model:
  • Cloud
  • Version Affected:  24.04+ Cloud

    Description:
In a Cloud deployment, after setting up MFA and/or PW Throttling, the process to clear the Throttling entries for the affected end user appears to work as expected, but the end user is still blocked on the next attempted log in

    Cause:
There are at least two potential causes for this:

    1. MFA and Password Throttling must be enabled on the Account Management Realm
    2. Theme in use for the Account Management Realm

    Resolution:
Two causes require two potential resolutions:

    1. Go into the Advanced settings for the Account Management Realm, enable PW and/or MFA Throttling on the Workflow and/or Multi-Factor Methods tab
If you require the ability to clear MFAThrottling attempts, ensure MFA Throttling is enabled
If you require the ability to clear PWThrottling attempts, ensure PW Throttling is enabled
(This is a bug - EE-3977 - and has been fixed in 26.1.1)

    2. Ensure the Account Management Realm is using the SA-IdP Theme or a Theme built from the SA-IdP Theme
