This article will list the steps of upgrading the SecureAuth RADIUS server.
Upgrading is a natural path forward in software development and the SecureAuth RADIUS Server is no different. Over time, the SecureAuth RADIUS server has added additional functionality, fixes and other updates.
To upgrade your SecureAuth RADIUS Server installation:
- Browse to the installation folder of your current RADIUS server and make a backup of your appliance.radius.properties file. Newer installations will be in:
C:\Program Files\SecureAuth Corporation\SecureAuth IdP RADIUS agent\bin\conf\appliance.radius.properties
- Download the latest version of the installer package.
- Once downloaded, right click the executable, select properties, make sure Unblock is not showing in the lower right corner. If it is, check the box and select apply to unblock the installer.
- Run the installer, it will detect the current version and do an in place upgrade

Special Considerations (optional as needed):
SecureAuth suggests taking a snapshot prior to any upgrades of a SecureAuth appliance or any additional software that may be updated on a SecureAuth appliance, in the rare case that a rollback is necessary.
