SP init by Post failing with generic "Error has been logged"

    Attempting to use SP init by Post. The SAMLRequest (AuthN request) is getting Posted. However, users see the generic "Error has been logged"

    Error log shows

     Message="SAML20SPInitPost Error in SSO service, error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object., stack: at MFC.WebApp.SecureAuth.SAML20SPInitPost.CreateSAMLResponse(AuthnRequest authnRequest, String sUSer, String UserID)

    Issuer missing from AuthN request.



    Work with the SP to add Issuer to the AuthN request.
