Follow
    Applies to:

  • Legacy SecureAuth IdP
Deployment model:
  • Cloud
  • Hybrid
  • On Premises
  • Version Affected:  All

    Description:

When trying to update Filebeat, it fails with the error "Failed to export certificate file(s) Key not valid for use in specified state"

    Cause:

We look for any SecureAuth issued certificates, if these have expired, you'd get the above error.

As a lot of the G3 certs have now expired, you are more likely to hit this error

    Resolution:

Tell the filebeat installer to look for cert issues by X1 as these have not expired.

    Eg:

    Run this

    filebeat.msi MARVIN_CERT_ISSUER_STRINGS=X1

    Special Considerations:

You can adapt the above command to look for any text within the issuer string.
