High CPU usage for FileBeat in IdP 9.2

Follow
    Applies to:
  • Legacy SecureAuth IdP
Deployment model:
  • On Premises
  • Version Affected:  9.2

    Description:

FileBeat CPU usage tends to spike when monitoring in Task Manager, despite little to no traffic on the server.

    Cause:

There were several configuration changes for FileBeat that were modified from the custom build (2.0.7.0) and resolved in the most recent installer (6.8.9.2).

    Resolution:

Run hotfix 9.2.0-19 or newer. For reference, FileBeat notes in IDP-6943.

    Special Considerations (optional as needed):

We recommend taking a snapshot of the server(s) prior to running the hotfix. If you are running the latest 9.2 hotfix, there will also be a revert feature built into the hotfix.
