Follow
    Applies to:
  • SecureAuth Identity Platform

    Description:

When trying to get to the Multi-Factor Methods tab on any realm in the classic experience, an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error is displayed. The configuration error "MFA.SecureAuth.Provider.TitanNumberProfileProvider" is as shown below. This error appears on every realm's Multi-Factor Method tab.

    Cause:

This is caused by the appliance not being able to reach Titan. The Multi-Factor Methods needs to see if the appliance is licensed for number profile. If it cannot reach it based on what is currently configured in SecureAuth0, it will throw this error.

    Resolution:

Configure SecureAuth0's System info tab with valid certificates and endpoints. You might be missing, have misconfigured, or do no have permissions to, the Serial Cert or Client Cert. If any of these are not available, Titan cannot check your license and will throw this error.

Make sure both of these are populated below. The Client Certificate should be a SecureAuth SHA2 SecureAuth Certificate with NETWORK SERVICE and IIS AppPool\SecureAuth0Pool read permissions included.
