Version Affected: All
Description:
The .Net Saml Consumer VAM can work with any SAML IdP. Some IdPs, such as the one used with Azure AD require an AuthN request to work. Eg, they need the SP initiated workflow.
The .Net Saml Consumer VAM can support this.
Cause: 3rd Party IdP limitations
Resolution:
1. Create the Identity Provider settings within the VAM SamlAdmin console as normal
2. Edit the Forms Authentication settings to go to the following URL
https://yourvam.example.com/samlconsumer/sp.aspx?IDProviderName=Bob
Where yourvam.example.com is the address of the server running the VAM and the IDProviderName is the Name you set in the Saml Consumer Admin console.
