Adding fixed values to a SAML assertion

    Applies to:
  • Legacy SecureAuth IdP
Deployment model:
  • On Premises
  • SecureAuth Idp Version affected: All
When sending SAML assertions, sometimes a fixed value needs to be sent for all users. This document outlines how.

    Cause: NA

For example, to add an attribute called Example with a value of 440 you'd perform the following

    1. Pick an attribute that is not in use. Eg, Auxid3
    2. Edit the Web.config (Click the System Info tab and scroll to the bottom)
    3. Set the Default value
WARNING: This is case sensitive so make sure you exactly match my screenshot

    4. On the Post Auth page, add the attribute to meet your requirements.
