ECP and OWA stops redirecting to SecureAuth after signing certificate update

Overview

After updating signing certificate, ECP and OWA stops redirecting to SecureAuth IDP and throws HTTP ERROR 401 (ECP) and 500 (OWA)

Cause

While updating signing certificate, the encryption certificate is also updated in ECP config.

Resolution

Run below cmdlet on ECP server:

Get-organizationconfig | fl adfs*

If the output contains a thumbprint in AdfsEncryptCertificateThumbprint, that needs to be cleared by using below cmdlet:

Set-OrganizationConfig -AdfsEncryptCertificateThumbprint $null
