Version Affected: 9.2 - 19.07
Description:
Internet Explorer hangs on realms configured to use Device Recognition using Fingerprints, However it does work with Universal Browser Credential. Other browsers appear to be unaffected.
Cause:
If Compatibility View is enabled in Internet Explorer, it prevents the fingerprinting scripts from successfully completing.
According to our current compatibility requirements for browsers, at least IE version 10 is required:
https://docs.secureauth.com/display/KBA/SecureAuth+Compatibility+Guide#expand-Browser
IE compatibility view emulates IE 7, so that's why it's not working as expected.
Resolution:
If fingerprinting is required then Compatibility View in IE must be disabled for the DNS address(es) of the IdP(s)
