SecureAuth RADIUS expired password reset support

Follow
    Applies to:
  • Legacy SecureAuth IdP
Deployment model:
  • On Premises
  • SecureAuth RADIUS Version Affected:  2.4 and earlier.

    Description:

Does SecureAuth RADIUS support expired password resets?

    Cause

SecureAuth RADIUS version 2.4 introduced MSCHAPv2 support.  MSCHAPv2 can distinguish between incorrect username/password and expired passwords, allowing for expired password/change prompts instead of just producing an Access Reject.

    Resolution

Although SecureAuth RADIUS 2.4 has support for MSCHAPv2, it does not yet have support for expired password/change prompts.
Enhancement request RAD-209 has been logged to have this feature supported in a future version of SecureAuth RADIUS.
