Follow
    Applies to:

Deployment model:
  • On Premises
  • SecureAuth IdP Versions Affected: 9.0.0, 9.0.1

Description: When QR Code is set up following this KBA, user keeps getting the following message when trying to enroll Google Authenticator on their Android device:

    Invalid Code. Please try again.

    The error looks like this:

Cause: Google Authenticator for Android only allows for 30-second intervals for passcodes to change. SecureAuth IdP's default setting for this field is 60 seconds.

Resolution: Change the Passcode Change Interval to 30 seconds.

    Steps:

    1. Navigate to the Post Authentication tab of the realm in which Multi-Factor App Enrollment - QR Code is configured.

    2. Look for the Multi-Factor App Enrollment section.

    3. Go to the Passcode Change Interval, and set the value to 30 seconds.

Performing the steps outlined above will allow users to register Google Authenticator on their Android devices.
