Content and Localization Verbiage Update Issue - Error: Denied Access to File

    Description: The verbiage fails to update when changes are being made through the Content and Localization section:

    After running the command prompt command as directed in the linkedarticle above, command prompt may return

    Error: Denied access to 'FileName'

    Cause:Some of the file permissions on the appliance may be causing an error.

    Run the "Reset-File-Perms.bat" found in directory "D:\MFCApp_Bin\Extras"

    Re-run the command prompt command, as directed in the linkedarticle above, and check for further errors.

    If the error persists, you may have to change the file permissions manually by going to the file in the directory as listed in the command prompt error, right clicking the problem file and selecting properties. From the properties menu go to the Security tab, Edit button, and check that NETWORK SERVICEhas the following Permissionsenabled:

    • Modify
    • Read & Execute
    • Read
    • Write
