Access Denied when using Self Service and Manage Accounts Pages

    Description: When using the Self-Service realm or Manage Accounts realm, you receive "Access is Denied" when attempting to update a field. 

    Cause: The Service Account you are using for your Membership Connection Settings and Profile Connection Settings (Data Tab) does not have the proper Permissions and Privileges to modify the user attribute. 

    Resolution: If you are using Active Directory as your data store, refer to this document (https://docs.secureauth.com/x/OwEO) on how to setup a service and account and properly delegate permissions and privileges.
