IWA/WinSSO realms using Adaptive Authentication to redirect based on User or Group membership cause an infinite redirection loop

    Description: 

    Windows SSO / Integrated Windows Authentication realms using Adaptive Authentication to redirect based on user or group membership fail to redirect successfully and will instead cause an infinite redirection loop between SecureAuth.aspx and WinSSO.aspx.

    The following conditions cause an infinite loop:

    IWA/WinSSO realm

    AND

    Adaptive Auth enabled with either user or group restriction

    AND

    Failure action set to redirect.

    AND

    Login as a user that is in a "Deny" group.

     

    Cause:

    Product Defect

     

    Resolution

    Product defects EE-953 and EE-967 have been logged to be addressed in a future version of the product.
     
     
    Workaround:
     
    In realms not using OpenID, replace:
    D:\SecureAuth\SecureAuthXX\bin\MFA.WebControls.dll 

    with a copy of the stock version:
    D:\Secureauth\Template\bin\MFA.WebControls.dll

    In realms using OpenID please contact Support.
