How To: Create SecureAuth Realms in Bulk

Overview

This article explains how to use the Realm Management Tool to create one or more new SecureAuth realms in bulk, based on an existing realm used as a template.

Create Realms in Bulk

1. Obtain the Realm Management Tool installer. It is no longer listed on the public downloads page — contact SecureAuth Support through the support portal to request a copy.
2. Right-click the downloaded archive, select Properties, and switch to the General tab.
3. If an Unblock button is present on that tab, click it, then click OK to close the Properties window.
4. Right-click the archive again and select Extract All..., extracting it to D:\MFCApp_Bin\Extras.
5. Navigate to D:\MFCApp_bin\Extras\RealmManagementTool and run RealmManagementTool.bat.
6. When the Splash screen displays, press any key to continue. When the legal disclaimer displays, type AGREE and press Enter to accept it and continue — pressing Enter without typing AGREE exits the tool instead.
7. From the Main Menu, type 1 and press Enter to create realms.
8. On the Preflight screen, enter the realm number(s) to create — a single number (for example, 50) to create one realm, or several numbers separated by commas (for example, 50,51,52) to create multiple realms at once.
9. Enter the realm number to use as a template for the new realm(s). SecureAuth0, SecureAuth998, and SecureAuth999 cannot be used as a template.

The tool then creates the selected realm(s).
