    Overview

Changes made to the Device Fingerprinting (DFP) label using Content and Localization's Verbiage Editor are not reflected on the Self Service page.

    Cause

The Self Service realm's web.config has a UUpdateDFPLabel setting (tied to the accountupdate_labeldfp verbiage key) that overrides whatever text is set in the Verbiage Editor. As long as this setting has a value, the Self Service page uses that value instead of the Verbiage Editor's text.

    To resolve this:

    1. Open the Admin Console.
    2. Navigate to the System Info tab for the Self Service realm.
    3. Click Click here to edit the Web Config File.
    4. Search for UUpdateDFPLabel.
    5. Remove the value from this field so the Self Service page falls back to the label set in the Verbiage Editor. The screenshot below shows the correct edit.

    1. Click Save.
