Troubleshooting: RDSH Web Access Server Error 404

    Overview

    After integrating Remote Desktop Services (RDS) Web Access with SecureAuth, accessing the server URL gives a Server Error, "The resource cannot be found," as shown below.

    Cause

    The RD Web Access web.config needs to be modified so its module entries are ordered correctly.

     

    Resolution:

    1. Open C:\Windows\Web\RDWeb\Pages\Web.config.
    2. Navigate to the modules section.
    3. Move any extra <add name= entries beneath the SecureAuth entry, as shown below.

    1. Save the Web.config file.
