Overview
When accessing the Advanced/Classic Experience, the page throws a generic Please Contact Your Administrator error if custom errors are turned on. The realm's Error and Event logs show:
Exception message: An item with the same key has already been added.
Cause
The same realm is being referenced more than once, due to duplicate realm folders under D:\SecureAuth and possibly duplicate matching entries in Internet Information Services (IIS).
Resolution
- Go through the realm folders under D:\SecureAuth.
- Find any realms with a duplicate SecureAuth# folder name. For example:
SecureAuth24
SecureAuth25
SecureAuth25_ORG
SecureAuth25_ORG1
SecureAuth25_ORG2
SecureAuth26
In this example, the duplicates are SecureAuth25_ORG, SecureAuth25_ORG1, and SecureAuth25_ORG2. - Move or remove the duplicate folders, and remove any matching duplicate entries from IIS as well.
Special Considerations
Keep a temporary copy of any removed realm folders in case they need to be restored.
