When using Active Directory for authentication and profile data lookups, you may see slow lookup speeds, which show up as slow login times. This article covers steps that can help speed this up.

Speed Up Active Directory Lookups

• On the realm's Data tab, switch Validate User Type from Search to Bind.
• Confirm every domain controller used by SecureAuth meets SecureAuth's network communication requirements for Active Directory.
• Confirm there are no decommissioned domain controllers that still have DNS entries in your environment.
• If you have a domain controller dedicated to SecureAuth, reference it by IP address rather than by domain name.
