Version Affected: Identity Provider (IdP) 22.12 and below, Connector 2.0.1 and below
Bug Number: N/A
Bug Status: Closed - Fixed
Fixed in Version(s): IdP 23.07 and Connector 2.0.2, and later
Overview
Password reset settings configured on the password reset realm are not pulled down from the IdP to the Connector, so the Connector does not honor those settings during a password reset.
Cause
The Connector did not include support for retrieving these password reset settings from the IdP at the time.
Resolution / Workaround
Upgrade the customer to both IdP 23.07 and Connector 2.0.2 or later to resolve this issue.
If upgrading is not an option, add the password reset values directly as app settings on the Connector itself, as a workaround.
Special Considerations
Reinstalling the Connector can wipe out password reset app settings that were added manually as a workaround, since they are not tracked as part of the standard configuration. Connector upgrades do not appear to have this issue, but check the app settings after every Connector install or upgrade to be sure.
