How To: Change SMS OTP Verbiage

Overview

SecureAuth realms send a default SMS delivery message of "Your One-Time Passcode is XXXX" when a user requests a one-time passcode (OTP) by text message. This article explains how to customize that message's text.

Change the SMS OTP Verbiage

1. On the realm's Overview tab, scroll down to Advanced Settings and click Content and Localization.
2. Use Ctrl+F to find the line named onetimepasswordsms3provider_regcode.
3. Edit the field to the custom verbiage. Keep {0} in the text -- it marks where the passcode value is inserted, and removing it will prevent the passcode from being delivered.

The same Content and Localization search can be used to edit other SMS delivery messages in the realm.
