Overview
This article explains what's needed to use port 587 instead of port 25 for a realm's SMTP settings.
Configure SMTP to Use Port 587
Port 587 is supported for SMTP, but requires the following:
- Under the realm's Overview tab, in Email Settings, SSL must be enabled.
- The server(s) must have the following Server Protocols enabled: TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2.
- The server(s) must have the following Client Protocols enabled: Multi-Protocol Unified Hello, TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2.
