Bug: Login for Endpoints Configuration Editor Throws "useEffect Is Not Defined" Error

Overview

Attempting to edit any Login for Endpoints (L4E) configuration in the New Experience UI fails, showing a blank page with [ReferenceError]: useEffect is not defined in the top corner.

 

Cause

The New Experience UI's front-end assets are served dynamically from SecureAuth's CDN, through the HttpProxy Web Application's Coruscant Assets Router URL Rewrite rule, rather than being packaged with the appliance version. A defect in the 24.4.6/24.4.7 assets caused the Login for Endpoints configuration editor to reference useEffect before it was defined, throwing this error and leaving the page blank.

 

Resolution / Workaround

This was corrected server-side in the assets served from SecureAuth's CDN; no appliance upgrade or configuration change is required. If the error still appears on 24.4.6 or 24.4.7, clear the browser cache and try again -- the browser may be holding onto a cached copy of the broken assets.
