  • Version Affected: All

    Overview

As an alternative to configuring redirects in IIS, a realm's Mobile Identifiers field can be used to redirect specific user agents to another realm.

Configure a Redirect by User Agent

    1. Determine the user agent string of the operating system or device to redirect. Searching "my user agent" in a search engine will show the current device's user agent string.
    2. In the realm to redirect from, go to the Data tab's Mobile section.
    3. Set If Mobile, Redirect To to the realm to redirect to.
    4. Add the user agent string to Mobile Identifiers, separating multiple entries with commas.

Data tab's Mobile section, showing If Mobile, Redirect To set to SecureAuth3 and Windows NT 10.0 added to the comma-separated Mobile Identifiers list.

In this example, the change was configured on SecureAuth2. A user accessing SecureAuth2 with a user agent matching an entry in Mobile Identifiers is redirected to SecureAuth3.

    Special Considerations

The release version string for an operating system may be shared by more than one operating system, so test across multiple operating systems before making this change in a production environment. See List of Microsoft Windows versions for reference.
