Troubleshooting: Inline Password Change Does Not Send the Configured Email

    Overview

When a realm is configured to send an email on password change, no email is sent after a user changes their password using Inline Password Change.

    Cause

Inline Password Change isn't built to send an email when an end user changes their own password through it. This is a feature gap, not a bug -- Feature Request CORE-1569 has been filed for it.

    Resolution:

There's currently no way to send this email through Inline Password Change itself. Check with SecureAuth Support for the current status of CORE-1569 if this is a hard requirement.
