    Applies to:

  • Version Affected: All

    Overview

When clicking the Reports button for a realm that has SQL Database logging enabled, the Reports page can return a network error instead of loading the report.

    Cause

The Reports button on any realm in the Admin Console uses the SQL database connection configured on SecureAuth0, not the connection configured on the realm being viewed. If SecureAuth0 itself does not have a working database connection configured, the error below appears no matter which realm's reports were being opened:

    Resolution:

Configure the database connection on SecureAuth0:

SQL Server connection error dialog: 'A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server... (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)'.

    1. In the Web Admin Console, select SecureAuth0.
    2. Select the Logs tab.
    3. Enable Database logging.
    4. Configure the database connection.
    5. Click Save.
