    Overview

When attempting to access Amazon Workspaces, you may see an error message reading Authentication Failed and User is not Found by Authentication Token.

    Cause

This error can occur if you have changed machines, did not complete activation during your initial registration, are attempting to log in outside of your permitted work hours, or are entering an incorrect password.

    Resolution:

    To resolve this:

    1. Contact your Helpdesk to report that you are unable to log in or have forgotten your password.
    2. Your Helpdesk will verify your identity, confirm whether your work hours are restricted for your project, and confirm that you are launching your workspace correctly.
    3. Once your identity is verified, your Helpdesk will initiate a password reset. You will receive a new password reset link by email -- follow the instructions in that email to regain access.
